Casting

Using "Screen Mirroring" or "Cast" from a Mobile Device to a Smart TV

Important Note: The casting methods below are not officially supported, but they may work for playing videos on a larger screen. We are unable to troubleshoot connectivity issues between your device and TV—please use them at your own discretion.

Known Issues:

  • Apple AirPlay – Has been reported to cause freezing and playback issues.
  • Smart TV Web Browsers – Our service is not optimized for them.

Some devices allow "casting" content to a Smart TV. Learn more below:

Unsupported Devices: Roku, Fire Stick, Apple TV, and other streaming sticks are not supported on this website.

Video playback isn't working – black screen

This often happens when the live stream venue has internet issues or has not yet started the live stream. Try refreshing the page after a few minutes.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Smart TVs’ built-in web browsers are not supported.
For best results, cast from a mobile device or use an HDMI cable to connect a computer to your TV.
  2. Check your internet speed. We recommend at least 10 Mbps for smooth playback.
Test your speed here: Speed Test
  3. Supported Devices:
    • Mobile: iPad, iPhone, Android (released within the last 4-5 years).
    • Desktop/Laptop: Windows PC, MacBook, Mac Desktop.

Older devices may still work but are not guaranteed to provide a smooth experience.

  4. Use a supported browser:
    • Google Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Windows - Microsoft Edge
    • Mac/iOS - Safari
  5. Disable ad-blockers or extensions that might interfere with playback.
  6. Perform a hard refresh:
    Windows: Ctrl + F5 | Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
  7. Close all browser windows, relaunch, and try again.
  8. Clear your browser cache: Instructions Here
  9. If issues persist, it may be a problem at the live stream venue—try again later.

Slow or buffering video

Streaming issues can result from slow Wi-Fi, network congestion, or interference.

Recommended Fixes:

  • Move your router to a central location in your home.
  • Place the router on an elevated surface (e.g., a desk or bookshelf).
  • Reduce clutter around the router to improve the signal.
